Brightnest policies

Terms

The basic terms for a parent’s use of Brightnest and its personalized practice packs.

Effective date: owner review required before launch.

Draft for review. These business policies need owner and attorney review before launch. Items marked OWNER REVIEW REQUIRED are not settled terms.

Who provides Brightnest

Brightnest is the name of a web app that helps parents prepare short, personalized math, phonics, and spelling practice for children in grades K–5. The legal person or entity that operates the service has not been identified in the material reviewed for this draft.

OWNER REVIEW REQUIRED: add the operator’s full legal name, business form if any, and governing jurisdiction before launch. No address or legal entity is supplied in this draft.

Parent accounts and profiles

An adult parent creates and manages the account and any child learning profiles. Profiles are associated with the parent’s account; the current app does not offer child accounts or direct child logins. The parent is responsible for keeping account credentials private and for the profile details they choose to enter.

Use a nickname and learning preferences. Do not enter sensitive personal information about a child.

The practice packs

Brightnest currently provides rule-based math and phonics/spelling practice for selected skills. Packs may include warm-ups, practice questions, review, a challenge, interest-based wording, and a parent answer key or note. Available features and subjects may change as the service develops.

Brightnest is supplemental practice. It does not replace a parent’s judgment, a teacher, professional assessment, or a required curriculum. Parents should review the material and decide whether it is appropriate for their child.

Acceptable use and pack files

Please use Brightnest lawfully, keep login credentials secure, and do not misuse the service or interfere with its operation.

OWNER REVIEW REQUIRED: specify the permitted personal printing, copying, and sharing rights for learning packs before launch.

Paid plan prices, billing periods, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are described on the Subscription & Cancellation and Refund Policy pages. Those pages contain owner-review placeholders where the current checkout and app do not establish a term.

OWNER REVIEW REQUIRED: an attorney should complete the governing-law, dispute, warranty, liability, and termination terms that apply to the final operating entity and service.
